We bought this used. I was leary about buying a swing since my older children hated it. My new baby loves this swing and takes naps in it daily. We do not use the toys or music. I can't really think of a reason for the remote. My son is 6 weeks old and too young for the toys that only work if he touches them (can't do that yet!). It reclines nicely. The music is "cheap" compared to the quality on some of his other toys. The mechanism is somewhat noisy, but still on the soothing side.

My 3 month old loves this swing. The motion and lullabies are very soothing to him when he is tired. The tray is full of fun toys that respond with lights and music with movement. The toy tray is removable and a plain tray sits underneath for younger babies who may be overstimulated by the toys, music and lights. The tray comes completely off which makes it easy to put the baby in and out of the seat as well as to clean when necessary.

We like the swing because of the music it plays and the fact that it will start swinging again if the baby makes noise. The only problem we have noticted is that when you start the swing you have to push the seat to get it started. Also, the attachment tray with the toys does not always work correctly, but my baby enjoyes the lights and sounds that the swing makes. Good swing, but I wouldnt pay full price for this one. I found a good deal on it and that is why i wasnt too upset with the few flaws it has.

The biggest problem is the speed motion of the swing. It has five speeds, but the highest speed setting is too SLOW. The remote control does not adjust the speed, but is merely an on/off button for the speed and music. The tray is completely removable, not hinged on one side for ease of use. The seat position doesn't allow for more of an upright setting, it allows more for laying down with it's three different settings. I would not recommend this swing for anyone.

My baby loves this swing when he is tired. The motion combined with music will put him to sleep when nothing else works. The different sound levels are nice, I can have it on the lowest volume when he is sleeping and turn it up when he is active. Although he insists on keeping it on, the music is quiet enough to not be disturbing. Unfortunatly, this is not true for the motion part. The mechanism that makes it swing is noisey and squeaks. I think the problem is it is too top heavy and there is no safe way of putting a bar over it. I received this swing as a gift and am very pleased with it. However, if I were to recommend a swing to purchase, I would say upgrade to one that also has a side to side motion. My baby loves visiting his aunt and using her side to side swing. It is not much more expensive and the feature is very nice for all babies.
